Stargate Birthday – Mitch Pileggi
Happy Birthday on this day (April 5th) to Mitch Pileggi who had a recurring role on Stargate Atlantis as Colonel Caldwell the commander of the USS Daedalus.

He appeared in 22 episodes of Stargate Atlantis and also guest starred on a number of other genre and drama shows over the last few decades such as…
Supernatural

Daybreak
Also on this day Greg Anderson celebrates his birth, he appeared on 6 episodes of SG1 five of which involed the Ori.
Stargate Birthday – Jamie Ray Newman
A big birthday hug (don’t I wish) to Jamie Ray Newman who was born April 2nd 1978. She had a way too short recurring role in Stargate Atlantis playing Lt Laura Cadman a nemesis if you will to Rodney McKay. She is an exceptionally beautiful woman who has carved out a solid niche in both drama and genre productions.
Notable roles…
- Eureka
- Grimm
- Castle
- NCIS
- Eastwick
Happy Birthday – Tobias Mehler
Happy Birthday to Tobias Mehler and yep people do have birthdays on April 1st.
Tobias played Lt Graham Simmons in five episodes of Stargate SG1.
- – Redemption: Part 1
- – Serpent’s Song
- – A Matter of Time
- – The Fifth Race
- – Message in a Bottle
He also played Zak Adama in Battlestar Galactica.
Christopher Judge – MyNorthwest Chat
Christopher Judge talks Stargate and more importantly for him his role in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises feature which is still shrouded in mystery:)
Marina Sirtis, Happy Birthday
It’s Marina Sirtis Birthday today (March 29) and while she is perhaps the face of TNG she gets her mention on The Gatecast for her portrayal of Svetlana Markov in the SG1 episode “Watergate” complete with appropriate accent.
While TNG played up her curves the Stargate producers put her in a furry parker.
Chris Judge – The Mentalist
A quick reminder that Christopher Judge has a guest role on this weeks episode of The Mentalist which airs Thursday 29th at 10/11pm on CBS. The episode is called “Pink Champagne on Ice” and Chris plays “Dante Holmes”.
Favourite SG1 Season 6 Episode Poll
Our traditional poll for the favourite episode of the current season we are discussing is now live, it will run until we record the sixth season wrap up show and the results used to fuel our banter. If anyone fancies spending a couple of hours with us on skype talking season 6 in a friendly and hopefully informative manner then get in touch, we are few weeks away from recording so plenty of time to schedule a date/time.

Stargate Birthdays (March 20th)
March 20th Birthdays kick off with the one and only John de Lancie who played the villainous Colonel Frank Simmons in SG1 but alas was better known for playing “Q” in TNG which we don’t hold against him, great performances in both roles. IMDB
Also sharing birthdays today are Louis Chirillo (Bert Simmons SG1 Citizen Joe), Nicholas Harrison (SG1), Ingrid Kavelaars (Major Erin Gant SG1) and Georgia Craig (Sabrina Gosling SG1).
Stargate Birthdays (19th March)
A very happy birthday to Connor Trinneer who is probably best known for his role as ” Trip” on Enterprise but he also played a major part in Stargate Atlantis as the Wraith Michael who turned out to be a pretty good villain and certainly a match for the Atlantians.
Also on the 19th Kelly Vint celebrates her birth, maybe not a familiar name but way back in Stargate the movie she played the very young Catherine Langford a character who appeared in SG1 years later.
